Talented, creative and inspiring female artist without degree

Maimona Hamayun is the only female artist and painter in the federal capital who does not have a degree but despite that she performs such a wonderful and eye-catching sketch.

She has lots of teachers from whom she has given training but not proper degree from anywhere which is the best and amazing and rare thing in our country. This is the passion and curiousness which has made her so talented that her paintings have been lived by lots of good artist and they appreciate her for the wonders and the creative work she do.

Her specialty in this art is making of landscape from almost all across Pakistan.  She starts making painting leisurely and as a hobby but later on she took it as a profession.” The artistic work is gifted from Allah but only need polishing. Mostly people go for various degrees of this art, craft, painting and creating caricatures but I don’t have any degree but I have polished my art with the help some teachers of mine in Lahore,” Maimona, the born artist said.

She has taught painting in various places like SOS village and Alfrabia voluntarily and taught in various other institutions of special children.” Since childhood, I had the hobby of painting but when my parents died I became very much depressed and stressed as well so I wanted to forget the sadness by bringing colours to my life. Then I start taking this as a profession in order to bring myself back to life,” she added.

She has so for made 300 outclass paintings. “I have organized exhibition in many famous places like Alhamra, PAC and Cobber Art Gallery, for the people so that they could get easiness and comfort when they look at the natural landscape of Pakistan which speaks about the natural beauty of Pakistan. Sometime I get impressed by the early morning view and other sunset time so I then make a painting of them exactly the same as the natural one,” she explained.

Now a day our country has multiplying problems but she wants to make them happy and give relief from all the miseries of daily life through her artistic and heart-taking paintings.

Most of the artists make happy people but themselves are engulfed with the miseries of life but she is the one who is spending life happily and with merriment as well. Colour speaks itself,” she disclosed.

There are two categories of artists, one is the poor one who has the capability of good art but people exploit them while on the other hand those who have got degrees and are affluent. Now people respect those who have the degree and qualification but don’t even care for those who actually know about the art in today’s world. Those who know English are also considered talented,” she added.
