KF a step ahead in helping out flood-hit people

 

Chairman Khubaib Foundation Nadeem Ahmed Khan has said that Khubaib Foundation and IHH Turkey jointly providing assistance to the affected people of Sindh, Talking media persons during a news conference on departure of 10 Trucks of relief goods of flood-hit areas of Sindh, the Chairman Khubaib Foundation has said that millions of people had been rendered homeless and they were living under the sky. The floods and rains in Sindh are a huge disaster that requires the attention of fraternity, he added.

 

He said that Khubaib Foundation has sent 10 trucks of food and non-food items for Sindhi especially Omer Kot, Tando Muhammad Khan, Badin, Rashidabad’s brothers and sisters. Khubaib Foundation has initiated a flood relief cell which is working day and night to serve humanity in need at large.

Nadeem Ahmed Khan said that media by mobilizing the local community could help reconstruct the infrastructure damaged by floods in Sindh.

 

He said that a large number of people, their livestock, property and agriculture had suffered heavily due to the current rains and floods.

He said that the newly established information cells would help share information through Internet with other ministries.


To a question, He said that the rehabilitation of rain victims was the biggest challenge for the government, which would continue its work till their resettlement. He said the losses caused by the unprecedented rainfalls and floods were beyond the expectation. However, Khubaib Foundation was actively working to overcome the situation.


“The massive rains have caused widespread devastation in Sindh and vast areas are under water, crops have also been damaged, especially that of cotton” he added.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that Khubaib Foundation has already reconstruction and rehabilitation projects for flood affectees-2010.
